Operations Representative (Generalist Role)
LaPorte Savings Bank has an opening for a full-time Operations Representative. This position will fully train in all positions in the Operations department to serve as a generalist that can support each area. Major areas within Operations include ACH, NSFs, No Bounce, Remote Deposit, online banking, Merchant Services, ATM, Agent / ISO programs, Portfolio Management, Merchant Account Retention, Credit Card Processing,escheat, uploading new accounts, tax reporting, debit cards, collection reporting and deposit related maintenance. This position is part of the team that provides customer service via phone and in person to internal and external customers and provides daily support of all operational functions related to the bank's retail deposit division. It has a high level of interaction with both external and internal customers, primarily via phone but also in person on occasion. The open position has a focus on deposit operations and several of the tasks require a strong knowledge of the core banking system and deposit compliance. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced team-oriented service environment, the ability to multi-task, excellent attention to detail, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to new technology easily are required. Ability to learn and use report writing software packages (i.e. query) preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is also required. An associates or bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus for this position. The schedule is 8am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday, with rotating Saturday coverage (approximately every third Saturday). Saturdays are 8am – 12pm. The pay range for this position includes a start rate of $12 to $15 dependent upon experience.
Loan Operations Representative I
LaPorte Savings Bank has an opening for a full-time Loan Operations Representative I. This position is part of the team that provides customer service via phone and in person to internal and external customers. The position requires excellent attention to detail and focus. Key responsibilities include areas such as pulling reports, completing loan payoffs, updating rates in Jack Henry core banking software system, and following up on missing collateral. System verification and loan filing is also a primary duty of this role.
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced service environment, the ability to multi-task, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technology easily are required. A demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is also required. Knowledge of Jack Henry Silverlake and banking and loan terminology are a plus. An associate's degree in Accounting is a plus for this position. The schedule is 8am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday, with rotating Saturday coverage. Saturdays are 8am – 12pm.
Accounting Representative - Part-time
The LaPorte Savings Bank has an opening for a part-time Accounting Representative in our Finance Department. This position participates in reconciling the Bank's general ledger accounts, processes wire transfers, supports the accounts payable process, and performs many additional tasks. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced service environment, excellent problem solving and communication skills, and a working knowledge of MS Excel are required. Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required. The schedule is generally 10am-3pm Monday thru Friday, with additional hours during departmental vacations and at month end.
